EdgeDocs

Draft, manage, and sign legal documents — with a full version history and an evidence trail.

The problem

Drafting lives in one tool, storage in another, signing in a third — and none of them can prove who changed what, when, or which version was actually executed.

Capabilities

What it does

Native document drafting

A full-featured document editor in the browser with a familiar word-processing experience. Documents are standard, portable files.

Document management system

The system of record: versioning with immutable history, check-out / freeze, retention, archival, and granular per-document permissions (owner / editor / reviewer / viewer).

Track changes & redlines

Change tracking with an accept / reject review workflow and semantic, clause-aware diffing between versions.

Clause library

Insert pre-vetted legal clauses; the AI suggests clauses in context.

AI document intelligence

On upload, EdgeLex extracts metadata (client, matter, title), classifies the document against a legal taxonomy, detects filing status and key dates, flags risk and compliance items, and detects duplicates by content hash.

E-signature with evidence

Signing sessions with field filling and validation. Once signed, the document freezes and forks for further edits; a signature evidence chain records signer consent, the policy applied, and the committed version.

MS Word path

For teams that prefer native Word, a download / upload and Word add-in workflow keeps the same DMS as the system of record.

In your control

Documents stay in your storage. Freeze-on-signature prevents tampering, and every action is captured in a full audit log with correlation IDs.
